It's a kinda-sorta souls-like( there are tough bosses) and a little bit roguelite( you die, you revive, you retry) and definitely a top-down pixel-art combat game( no explanation needed here), a narcissistic necromancer calling himself The Lich Lord (who has this game made about himself by haunting a wannabe game designer) lets the player relive some of his ( Lich Lord's) most glorious moments.
